This intricately woven Ginger Jar Sweetgrass Basket was inspired by the Chinese Ginger Jars. Originally, Ginger Jars were used for storing and transporting spices in Ancient China. They were used for containers for salt and oil but more importantly the rare spice of Ginger. This sweetgrass Basket is woven using: sweetgrass; Bullrush; pine Needles and strips of palm leaf.
